Unauthorized seller network disruption

Disrupting an Unauthorized Reseller Network on a Marketplace Platform
A representative engagement: a consumer goods brand had identified dozens of active listings across a major marketplace selling counterfeit and gray-market versions of its products, several using the brand's own official product photography. Individual takedowns had removed single listings, but new ones reappeared from different seller accounts within days.
Mapping the Network, Not Just the Listings
Rather than treating each listing as an isolated case, the engagement started by tracing shared patterns across sellers — repeated product photos, similar listing templates, and overlapping shipping details — to identify which accounts were part of the same underlying network rather than unrelated one-off sellers.
Prioritizing by Sales Velocity and Exposure
Not every listing carried the same risk. Listings with active reviews and visible sales volume were escalated first, since they represented both the clearest infringement and the most immediate revenue impact, while lower-traffic listings were queued behind them.
Filing Coordinated, Well-Documented Notices
Each notice included the specific product registration or rights basis, side-by-side image comparisons, and direct listing links, which reduced back-and-forth with the marketplace's enforcement team and shortened the average time to removal.
Tracking Reappearance, Not Just Removal
Because sellers in the network resurfaced under new account names after individual takedowns, each resolved case was logged against the broader network pattern — so a reappearance could be flagged and actioned quickly instead of starting the investigation over from scratch.

Process Optimization for Efficiency, Quality, and Consistency at Scale
Standardizing critical processes is essential for achieving operational scale without sacrificing efficiency or compliance. The program identifies high-impact workflows and applies process improvement methodologies to streamline activities, remove redundancies, and introduce automation where feasible. Documented standards, playbooks, and performance benchmarks create consistency across teams while still allowing for contextual flexibility. As a result, operational variability decreases, onboarding becomes faster, and quality outcomes become more predictable, enabling the organization to handle higher volumes.
“Beyond sharpening our messaging, they helped bring clarity to our business itself, aligning our onboarding, pricing, and content into one cohesive voice.”

Change Management, Cultural Alignment, and Capability
Sustainable execution alignment requires more than processes and tools; it depends on people adopting new ways of working. The program therefore incorporates a comprehensive change management strategy that includes stakeholder engagement, communication plans, and targeted training initiatives. Leadership coaching, capability development programs, and feedback mechanisms help embed new behaviors and mindsets across the workforce.
